Our History
Abstrax Hair Design & Restoration LLC was established by Gerry Hergert, a licensed cosmetologist and certified Master Hair Replacement and trichology specialist. For over 35 years, this family-owned business has been dedicated to excellence in hair care. Today, it is proudly owned by her daughter, Laura Hergert Cole, who also holds certifications as a Master Hair Replacement and trichology specialist. Laura, a former board member of the American Hair Loss Council, continues the legacy of providing top-notch hair restoration services.
Since 1989, our business has provided a full spectrum of services to clients in Toms River, as well as the broader tri-state area. Today, we are a cutting-edge hair restoration service, with access to proven hair loss solutions that empower our clients to look and feel like themselves again. Our stylists enjoy membership and accreditation with some of the country’s most forward-thinking hair restoration organizations, and our clients know they can depend on us for solutions that are safe and effective.
Meet Laura Cole
Laura Cole is a master accredited specialist certified in hair replacement, trichology, extensions, and wigs, who is a second-generation hair stylist working in family owned and operated full service salon for 42 years. She also offers cuts, color, perms, and straightening along with the latest trends and styles. She is a member of the Professional Beauty Association and she volunteers her services to Children With Hair Loss and Wigs For Kids. Both organizations provide hair replacement systems and support for children who have lost their hair due to medical issues at no cost the children or their family. Laura is also a former board member of the American Hair Loss Association.
Laura continues to attend educational classes and hands on demonstrations, so she can provide exceptional care for her clients and educate them on the latest methods and products that the industry has to offer. The industry has come a long way with proven hair loss solutions with FDA or health approved pharmaceutical and topical treatments.
